As a steward of the Six-Year Investment program, FMSIB looks to recommend strategic freight investments that aligns strategic freight investments with community benefits. FMSIB engaged Berk Consulting and Cascadia Consulting to conduct a research-based study and develop practical tools, including a GIS-based mapping tool and worksheets to help FMSIB applicants and project sponsors integrate consideration of overburdened communities in strategic freight investments.
